ANTWERP TO HOST MARKETING COURSE FOR ARTISTS
Antwerp will host a Marketing for Artists Course on Thursday 7 April, organised by Hermes Comunicación, addressed to all those artists who want to improve the ability to promote their work and to boost their commercial side. The course seeks to provide artists with the necessary tools to promote their work and to improve their chances for positioning themselves in the art world, thus the dynamic is focused on practical ways to achieve this, applying the course subjects to conceive a particular project, be it an exhibit or an special event, so that the participants can put to practice the skills learned during the course.
The art market, the first steps, exhibiting at alternative spaces, curriculum, artistic book, press pack, promotion and web site are the subjects to be addressed in the marketing for artists course and will be given be Sergio G. García, publicist, communicator, curator and cultural promoter of Hermes Comunicación.
“The course has been thought to be a catalyst”, explained Sergio G. García. “Many artists could get more out of their work in many aspects, which can be improved with marketing techniques”, he added.
